Avoid This Beverage to Reduce Your Risk of Having a Stroke!

We all need a little energy pick-me-up now and again, and if you’re like many Americans, you may reach for an energy drink like Red Bull.

What you may not know, though, is that that Red Bull – even a single can – can significantly increase your risk of heart attack or stroke!

In particular, Red Bull causes your blood to become sticky, which can lead to bigger problems – like a heart attack, or stroke.

In fact, Red Bull has been banned in multiple countries around the world for exactly that reason, including Denmark, France, Norway, and Uruguay. In Kuwait, it’s banned for those under the age of 16.

And yet energy drinks continue to sell, and sell well. While they work for a short time (courtesy caffeine, sugar, and supplements), the risks are many – especially as once you crash, you’re likely to reach for another can.

And while there are traces of some good things (like B vitamins) in Red Bull and other energy drinks, those benefits are far outweighed by the cost of chugging sugar and caffeine.

As a result, we can unequivocally say that the following people should avoid energy drinks:

  • Blood clotting disorders
  • High blood pressure
  • Predisposed to cardiovascular disease
  • Pregnant or lactating
  • Sensitive to caffeine
  • Suffer from anxiety
  • Suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome
  • Suffer from high stress

And the effects of Red Bull and energy drinks may be even more dangerous when combined with alcohol, as overloading your body with heavy stimulants and heavy depressants can lead to heart failure.

Instead, if you find yourself low on energy, consider the underlying cause, which may be one of the following:

  • Lack of sleep
  • Lack of exercise
  • Low-quality food
  • Negative emotions
  • Poor food choices
  • Stressful lifestyle

Increasing your energy levels, then, is as easy as remedying these factors by:

  • Eating right for your nutritional type
  • Eliminating grains and sugars from your diet
  • Exercising
  • Increasing your intake of omega-3 fats
  • Releasing emotional stress and negativity with the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
  • Sleeping when you’re tired
