Turmeric Can Improve Your Health Like Nothing Else – Here Are The Best 7 Ways To Use It
If you're a long-time reader here, you know that there are few things we love anywhere near as much as we love turmeric - and with good reason, because turmeric can do things for your health no other single food item can.

- Cancer preventative
In particular, we love turmeric for it's anti-inflammatory benefits, and recommend using it in the following seven ways, courtesy FitLife.tv:
1. Turmeric Juice Shot
- 1/2 in turmeric root or 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Sea salt
- 1/2 lemon
Juice the turmeric and lemon, then add the salt. Enjoy!
2. Golden Milk
- 1 c almond or coconut milk
- 1/4 c of water
- 1 tsp fresh grated or turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp fresh grated or ginger powder
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- dash cardamom
- dash cinnamon
- dash clove
- 2 tsp honey
- Simmer all ingredients for roughly 1 minute, then let cool and drink. Enjoy!
3. Turmeric Tea
- 1/2 tsp fresh grated turmeric
- raw honey
- black pepper
- 1 c hot water
- lime, to taste
- Boil water, add turmeric, let simmer 5 minutes.
- Strain, then add other ingredients to preferred taste. Enjoy!
4. Turmeric Scramble
Add turmeric to your morning eggs!
5. Turmeric Soup
- 4 c broth, bone or veggie
- 1 knuckle chopped or grated turmeric
- black pepper, optional
- Simmer turmeric and broth for 15 minutes, strain.
- Add black pepper or other seasoning to taste.
6. Turmeric Smoothie
- 2 tbsp coconut flakes
- 1 1/2 c frozen mango or pineapple
- 1/2 c almond milk or coconut milk
- 1 tsp fresh or powdered turmeric
- 1 tsp hemp seed hearts
- 1 tsp maca root
- dash black pepper
- Put all the ingredients in a blender, and blend them well! Enjoy!
7. Turmeric Kefir
Add a tsp turmeric to your kefir, and enjoy!
