Is milk actually good for you? One research suggests that it's full of toxic ingredients, and should be avoided at all times.




David Ludwig, a Harvard pediatrician and specialist, says the extra sweeteners in most milk mean they are really unhealthy. This is particularly true of low-fat milks, who often have even more sugar added to replace the lost flavor.

Instead, “normal” milk (including low-fat varieties) has been found to contain over 20 antitoxins, painkillers, and other toxic and dangerous ingredients. Yuck!

Instead of getting your calcium from milk, consider these 10 great calcium-rich sources:

  1. Almonds
  2. Bok Choy
  3. Broccoli
  4. Collard Greens
  5. Edamame
  6. Figs
  7. Kale
  8. Oranges
  9. Salmon
  10. Sardines
If you must have milk, though, consider almond or coconut milk - just make sure it's organic and free of additives.
