We all know how delicious watermelon is on a hot summer day, but we bet you don't know just how amazing it is for your health, too!

In particular, research has found that L-citruline the amino acid in watermelon soothes muscles after workouts, and is great for post workout pain. And watermelon has more L-citruline than any other fruit!

Watermelon seeds are also great for dissolving kidney stones, and have been used that way in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries.

One traditional recipe recommends getting 4 seeds, crushing them, boiling them in 2 liters water, and after 15 minutes cooling, drink the water for the kidney stones.

Additionally, watermelon is great for a body cleanse and detox since it is mostly water.

As far as vitamins and minerals, watermelon contain beta carotene, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and C, also iodine, malic acid, calcium, nitric acid, manganese, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, fiber, and more.
