In 2016, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans said we must eat produce in half of our total meals. Every fruit and vegetable has its unique benefits and here’s the list:



APRICOT

Apricots are filled with anti-oxidants that help relieve inflammation, which is why it boosts immunity. There are a few studies that say apricots can treat ulcer or kidney issues, as well as IBS. Apricots are found to help keep kidney cells healthy from the damages of methotrexate. This is a common drug utilized in chemo and is found to harm heathy cells in the kidney.




AVOCADO

Studies are proving that Avocado helps with hypertension and slows the heart down by relaxing its vessels, which keeps the heart safe. This fruit has plenty of healthy fats that are easily stored and broken down. The fat from avocado found to be much better than fats from processed-food. CUCUMBER

Like fisetin, cucumbers have antioxidants. It helps with cognition and analgesia, so the risk of cancer is reduced. In 2014, a study proved that fisetin is beneficial for people with Alzheimer’s. One study in 2012, showed that extract from cucumber is an antioxidant and analgesic, while a study in 2013 proved that cucumber is just as beneficial as chemo. 

DATES

Dates are found to help treat a damaged liver and promote heart health while immunity is improved. In a study from 2014, it found that the liver can be protected against chemical damage from medications and drugs filtered through blood. A study conducted in 2015, found that dates are a proven antioxidant that can stop plaque buildup in blood vessels. 

KALE

Kale is a leafy, green vegetable thats abundant in nutrients. there have been numerous studies that say kale has vitamins, fiber, minerals, carbohydrates and probiotics that are perfect for those who suffer from malnutrition and micronutrient deficits. You can eat kale as chips or in a salad. 

LEMON

Lemons are rich in vitamin C, which helps in boosting immunity keeping you safe from nasty colds and illnesses. In 2014, a study published that lemon can be an anticoagulant like aspirin, and stops thrombi that blocks healthy blood vessels and vessels altogether. 

PINEAPPLE

Pineapple has calcium, iron, vitamin C, magnesium and more. It was used as a form of medicine centuries ago. In 2013, a study concluded that pineapple extract lowers inflammation and heals body tissue. It also removes infections and microbes. 

WATERMELON

APPLE

BEANS

Beans are filled with antioxidants and phenols. In 2015, a study concluded that drinks of beans can eliminate fatigue. Athlete swimmers would use this juice and would workout much longer. 

BEETS

Beets is a nutritious vegetable that keeps kidneys safe from any damage. The extract from beets can lower oxidation stress, inflammation and kidney injury. 

MANGO
