You can add them into your night or morning routine. All you have to do is scrape your tongue with a tongue scraper a couple times when waking up in the morning. After, take a shot of oil and swish it around for 15 minutes then spit out the discharge from your mouth, for your oil pulling.

How to Oil Pull and Tongue Scrape


1. Simply take a teaspoon of coconut oil, chew until melted, and swish around inside the mouth for 5-20 minutes. More time that is spent swishing with the coconut oil, the better. 

2. You can even use sesame or olive oil for oil pulling.After swishing, discharge the oil in the garden, rubbish, or sink and rinse the mouth with water.

3. Take a spoon and scrape the surface of the tongue from the back forward. It is also a good idea to note the color of the tongue. A pink, fleshy tone is good. White or green tongues are not healthy.

5. After pulling and scraping, it is the best time to brush your teeth like you normally would.
Extra: Add 5 drops of essential oil to your oil before pulling. The essential oils you can use include lavender for gums, frankincense for immunity, tea tree oil or a mix of cloves or cinnamon to aid in cleaning out bacteria that is harmful to dental health. It improves taste as well!
