Ace Hardware Stores Near Standing Rock are Refusing to Sell Supplies to Protesters
Standing Rock protestors have been denied service to buy heating and other supplies from nearby hardware store Ace Hardware.
The official statement says “stores in the vicinity of recent pipeline protests in North Dakota have been requested by law enforcement officials to refrain from selling materials that could be used at camps.”
Twitter users outed the hardware store's disappointing move:
Kevin Gilbertt has uploaded this video of him calling the Ace Hardware store with the employee confirming the stance.
The law have really cracked down recently on the protestors at Standing Rock, including giving out eviction notices and giving out $1,000 fines to people trying to help the protestors by bringing supplies.
