Wrapped Ginger – Treats Bad Cough And Removes Mucus From The Lungs In Just One Night, Especially Good For Kids!

Coughs and colds, although relatively harmless, can really interfere with your work and personal life and are probably best avoided at all costs. Children in particular should be protected from getting these illnesses as they can be quite stressful for a young child and can interfere with their important sleep routine.

Night-times are particularly bad for sufferers, as the lying down position encourages mucus to build up in the throat as the body is stationary, irritating the throat and causing those annoying tickly coughs. Thankfully there is a natural cure for these irritating ailments.

Most people will reach for the cough syrup when they are suffering from a cough, but mostly all cough syrups are loads with sugar, plenty of chemicals and often strong painkillers such as codeine, which is not ideal to give to your child.

Instead we suggest you try these natural, soothing honey and ginger wraps

Honey has been used for centuries to treat everything from colds to skin conditions. It is particularly useful in treating coughs and sore throats as it helps dislodge mucous in your throat. This method is safe to use on both adults and children.

How to make your own honey and ginger wraps

They are easy to make using just these few ingredients:
  •     Honey
  •     Coconut oil
  •     Napkin
  •     Gauze
  •     Flour
  •     Bandage

How to apply:
  1. Combine flour and honey into a paste-like mixture, but try not to touch it. Drizzle in a tiny bit of coconut oil, add the fresh ginger juice to the honey paste and re-roll the honey mixture in flour.
  2. Transfer the resulting mixture onto a napkin, and wrap it using a gauze.
  3. Apply the wrap on your chest or back, and secure with a bandage. You can put on your pajamas and go to bed.
  4. If it is your child that receives the treatment, keep the wrap on its chest for 2-3 hours before bedtime.

Adults can keep the warps on overnight, but should be used for a lesser amount of time on children as it may be uncomfortable for them owing to their skin being more sensitive. If used all night, please be aware that a side effect may be excess sweating.

One fan of these wraps is Rachel Lim, Singapore, who used the wraps to great effect on her child, and shared the amazing results on Facebook.

She made her wraps using tin foil.

“Usually about 2-3hrs in his sleep [her baby], he would begin to cough profusely and whine. Last night I put foil on him, keeping it for 4 hours, and did not hear anything from him, no nasal congestion, no phlegm, not a sound! Throughout the night, not a single cough from him. ”
