Allergens in Vaccines Are Causing Life-Threatening Food Allergies

Food allergies are a huge problem, and they are becoming more common with each passing year, especially in young children, in fact one public health website has stated that food allergies in children aged 0-17 in the U.S. increased by 50% from 1997 to 2011.

It seems that these allergies have become normalised, when in fact it is a relatively new phenomenon.

Food is the main reason for anaphylaxis, that is the swelling of the mouth, tongue and throat when in comes into contact with food that the body is allergic to. It is a very dangerous symptom as it can lead to choking and closing of the airways. In the UK there has been a 500% increase in admissions to hospital for food allergy since 1990.

We can't ignore the facts that these allergies are on the rise, and there must be a reason for it. One theory suggests that it the rise of vaccinations that have increased food allergies.

The 2015 open access case report by Vinu Arumugham in the Journal of Developing Drugs, entitled “Evidence that Food Proteins in Vaccines Cause the Development of Food Allergies and Its Implications for Vaccine Policy,” argues that vaccines are the reason for this epidemic, something that many people and doctors simply don't want to hear.

Arumugham argues that scientists have known for over 100 years that injecting proteins into humans or animals causes immune system sensitization to those proteins. He is not the first to make this link, Heather Fraser in her 2011 book, The Peanut Allergy Epidemic: What’s Causing It and How to Stop It also highlights the link between vaccines and allergies, noting that the first epidemic of allergies emerged at the same time as mass vaccination.

We know that aluminum adjuvants found in many vaccines change the food proteins’ immunogenicity, decreasing the ability to be immune to certain foods. When lots of these proteins are administered at once, it increases the sensitivity.

The Institute of Medicine has said that the food protein in vaccines “occasionally induce…sensitization…and subsequent hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis.” And although this has been admitted, nothing has been done to regulate the vaccines so that they are at a lower risk of provoking this response.

It seems obvious that there is a link between vaccines and allergies, but as we know, the government is keen for vaccines to carry on being administered at a high rate. The first step would be to remove the harmful aluminum in vaccines, but that is just the start. The stigma that follows people who choose not to vaccinate needs to be removed in order for anti-vax campaigns to be taken seriously and to make a change in the vaccine world.
