6 Amazing Benefits of Aloe Vera on Skin

Aloe vera is one common household plant that has a long list of health benefits. It has been used for hundreds of years to treat conditions such as skin complaints, and even asthma.

It is the magic leaves of aloe vera that are full with nutrients beneficial to the skin, and body in general. Lots of people overlook the healing properties of aloe, opting instead to use it as a decorative plant, as they are popular and sold for a reasonable price in most garden stores.

It is the sap and the gel found in the thick, fleshy leaves of the aloe plant that contain its healing properties, which means you do have to break the leaves off to enjoy the benefits, but don't worry they will grow back again. The sap contains special nutrients that are healing when used on the human body.

Here are six great ways in which you can enjoy the full benefits of your aloe vera plant.

Apply the gel from the allow plant directly on the affected areas, leave to sink in and remove after about 15 minutes with lukewarm water.

Aloe has great anti-inflammatory properties which are helpful for taking the sting out of insect bites. The soothing texture will also help reduce swelling redness to the affected area.

Prevents signs of aging
You can reduce the signs of ageing using aloe's miracle properties. To make a soothing face pack combine ½ teaspoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of aloe vera, and 1 teaspoon of oatmeal. Apply the paste on your face and leave it on for 30 minutes. Rinse the paste with cold water.
