Here’s How to Flush Fluoride Out of Your System

It has recently been revealed that we have all been ingesting too much fluoride. 

Fluoride is particularly had to get rid of as it bio-accumulates in the body, meaning the more of it you take on, the more it accumulates. Fluoride damage is particularly bad for the thyroid because its store of iodine is depleted. Iodine deficiency can effect the thyroid’s metabolic and immune functions, leading to hypothyroidism and lowered immunity.

Over-exposure to fluoride may increase your risk of a number of different cancers, lower your child’s IQ and cause premature ageing. There is good news however, as fluoride can be expelled from the body with these simple De-toxifaction methods.


Selenium is said to be nature's antidote to fluoride. According to Food Consumer, A new study in the Journal of Hygiene Research suggests that: 

"taking selenium supplements or eating selenium-rich foods may help reduce the damage to neurons and minimize memory loss induced by fluoride…”   

Selenium is important in that it is beneficial to antioxidant enzymes that help prevent cellular damage from free radicals. Because fluoride damages the thyroid, taking selenium is essential for a properly functioning thyroid.

Selenium has been proven to stop damage to the heart, liver, kidneys that can all be caused by too much fluoride. Another study showed that selenium increased the rate of elimination of fluoride via the urine. According to the NIH, the maximum recommended daily intake for selenium is 400 microgram.

Selenium is also found in helpful quantities in - Mushrooms, egg yolks, seafood, poultry and kidney, liver and muscle meats contain the mineral. Vegetables — garlic, onions, broccoli, asparagus and tomatoes.

Flushing Fluoride out of the system

Going by the ancient Finnish saying, “Sauna is a poor-man’s drugstore.”  highlighting the sauna's ability to flush not just fluoride but a number of other toxins from the body. Taking a sauna session can help to excrete sodium fluoride from fatty tissues. 

Saunas work by raising the body's temperature, stimulating the sweat glands and eliminating via sweat dangerous toxins like fluoride, copper, lead, sodium, and mercury. 

The far-infrared sauna has said to be much more detoxifying than regular saunas, as the deep penetration of the infrared energy allows toxins to be eliminated at at higher rate. 

Don't forget to drink lots of water to replenish the body's depleted water stores.
